A Study on the Layout of Express Chinese Textbooks in Singapore

Abstract: This paper makes an analytic study on the text arrangement of Express Chinese textbooks in Singapore secondary
schools，namely，form 1，form 2，form 3 and form 4. In the text layout，the three themes of the texts have been counted from the people and oneself，man and society as well as man and nature. There is an analysis on the the characteristics of the textbooks arrangement from the teaching content of the texts，the present form of the texts，and practicing aspects. And then it puts forward some suggestions aiming at the shortcomings of the teaching material arrangement such as to join independent words table after class， to increase basic words practice and so on.
